World Food Day – October 16, 2020

The Ghanaian Canadian Association of Ontario is wishing you all “World Food Day.” For the month of October, GCAO has provided grocery foods to over 700 families in support to “grow, nourish, sustain. Together, our actions are our future.” We believe no family should suffer from hunger and everyone need healthy diet. Thanks to the support of Canadian Red Cross for funding the program and all the Ghanaian Grocery stores who participated in the grocery project. We hope to receive more grants in the future to provide for more families.

Considering the technological advancement in the field of agriculture, according to Mr. Emmanuel Duodu, President of GCAO, it is a dent on the conscience of the world that anyone and anywhere should go hungry. Our organization feels strongly that a hungry community cannot make a meaningful contribution and the ripple effect of hunger breeds uneducated community. We take food security seriously.
