GHANAIAN LANGUAGE CLASSES

GHANAIAN LANGUAGE CLASSES

In an increasingly globalized world, it is important to set our community on the path to being active global citizens. GCAO takes great pride in providing African Heritage programs, specifically Twi language classes to all ages in our community. No background knowledge is necessary and we encourage everyone to explore all the languages of the motherland.

The Twi Programs combine language & culture learning with engaging activities like games, songs, dance, storytelling and writing.

As instructors and teachers of the Twi Program, we get to learn as we teach and expose students to the different cultures and traditions in Ghana. We learn about our identity as African people, the history of Ghana, and its unique/diverse languages which includes different festivals.

Our goal is to work within the expectations of students, parents, and the community to preserve Ghanaian/African cultural and traditional values in our society, but also to connect globally as we enable our community to make strides across the globe.

    Hi,
I’ll like to learn more about the work of the instructors. Are you still searching for instructors or is this an old post? Do you have a curriculum to follow or do they have to develop their own. Are instructors and students province specific? As in, Ontario instructors teaching Ontario students?
